Thanks go to all those who have helped and continue to help with our research. You are too numerous to list here, but references appear at various points on the site.

Without this help we would have been unable to find our ancestors, and much less understand their lives or those of their communities.

How did our ancestors live? ( Restricted Access )

Remedies and Medical treatments
Today we take for granted many pharmaceutical products which make everyday life more comfortable during periods of illness. But how did our ancestors deal with these same health issues? What natural remedies were there? When was a doctor called, and what treatments would he prescribe?

How did conditions of hygiene affect health and or life expectancy?

What can we learn from our ancestors knowledge of natural remedies?

How did our ancestors dress?
Fashion plays an important role in modern society. But how did our ancestors dress? The middle class, Working classes, what were the differences?

Were clothes bought, or were they made at home? If so who designed the patterns? All interesting to understand the lifestyles of our ancestors.

Local dialects
Many of the local dialects used by our ancestors are being lost. And new ones created by the next generations.

Tell us about your memories of those that were used by your ancestors.
