    The annual meeting was held in the Green Dragon. Interestingly, James is referred to as Bro. James.. Indicating he was a member of the Brotherhood.

    James and other local publicans were in trouble for bookmaking on horse races. The complainant changed his mind about testifying and the case was dismissed, apparently to the approval of large numbers of customers!
