Military Service |
Between 1916 and 1917 |
Harold served with the Royal Army Medical Corps (Regimental N°87659)
He died of malaria while serving in East Africa and buried in the Kilwa Kivinje Cemetery. He was later reburied in the Dar Es Salaam War Cemetery.
The news report of his death attached here suggests he died near Cape Town, South Africa. This appears incorrect given his burial in Dar es Salaam. Commonwealth War Grave Commission documents suggest he died in Tanganyika. |
